Original Tac Collar 1.75"

The Original Tac Collar 1.75" was K9TG's very first tactical collar design. From the beginning, with our two-man team in our garage, we knew we had to source the finest components on the market and design the best collar we could. This collar was constructed to be put to the test. Whether you are enduring rigorous patrol hours, a brutal hike, or evenings at the dog park, this is a great option for any medium or large breed dog, regardless of activity level. This collar comes standard with loop attachment for any ID panels or PVC patches. 

The V-Ring attachment is what sets this collar apart from others on the market. It has been balanced to make sure the V-Ring attachment is always located near the top of the dog's neck for ease-of-use. This collar has a buckle fur guard to help keep your dogs hair from getting caught when putting it on your canine. The collar is held together with a high strength bar-tac stich pattern commonly seen in skydiving and rock-climbing equipment. 

This collar comes standard with the following: 

• A aluminum alloy black polished slide adjuster, forged V-Ring attachment point, and a 1.75” Pro Style AustriAlpin buckle.
• Loop attachment (velcro), for the 14-17 size it has 6.75” while the larger sizes come with 8.75”.
• This collar is compatible with all leash snap options.

Is the V-Ring loose on the collar?
While the V-ring is secured by mil-spec webbing, it has just enough space to rotate freely for easy attachment. If you enjoy a collar with a rigid attachment point and no loose hardware, see our Tac 2 Collar 1.75”

Where do I attach my leash to this collar?

The Original Tac Collar 1.75” features a steel V-Ring for independent attachment.
How many panels can I attach to this collar? What size can they be?
The Tac 2 1.75” can fit up to 6.75” of panels/patches on the 14”-17” and 8.75” on the other sizes. Our customizable ID panel comes at a maximum length of 6” Depending on text lettering, so you’re still left with extra space for additional panels/patches.

What is the purpose of the elastic band?
The elastic band is designed to retain the layers of collar webbing if it’s adjusted. Once the slide adjuster is moved to shorten the collar, it leaves a space for the webbing to expand freely. The band prevents this to avoid snagging.
What is the difference between the Tac 2 and Original Tac Collar?
The Tac 2 1.75” has a D-Ring built into the buckle whereas the Original Tac Collar has a Steel V-ring mounted separately from the buckle. This results in a different mounting point and collar position for your leash attachment. For Tac 2, the buckle sits low without a lead, and sits high when a leash is being used. For the Original Tac, the buckle and V-Ring position doesn’t change with the addition of a leash.1.75” Tactical Collar with Handle.
