Leather Leash

You will never regret investing in one of our one of kind European leather leads. All leashes are completely handmade in our shop in Rocklin, CA with the upmost attention to detail. We have chosen to braid our leather, rather than stitching or automated rivets, to ensure there is nothing to fail or decompose over time. Our leather leashes should be a staple leash in your gear collection. 

We searched years to find the "ultimate" leather that is both strong, yet supple, while ready to withstand all weather conditions. Once we were able to find this within a unique tannery that provided us with these conditions to our standards, we launched our leather line almost 20 years ago. Between our leashes, collars, and leather harnesses, we have 20 years of nothing but positive reviews. 

We currently offer leather leashes in 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" widths. 

Note: The medium snap is not to be used during heavy training or any agitation training.

• All bolt snaps are solid brass
• We hand braid the snap onto the leash instead of stitching because we feel it is safer and stronger
• Thread can deteriorate due to wear and sun, but the braid is strong and will not fail
• You can also upgrade to a Frog snap 
• NOTE: Medium and Small Dog Snaps Will Not fit 1.5" and 1.75" Tac 2 Buckle D-Rings
• This product is NOT to be used as a Tie-Out.

• High-quality leather tanned for extreme conditions
• Not affected by water, sun, or sand
• Safer than others on the market because the durability of the leather is not affected by extreme working conditions
• Does not need to be conditioned to keep it from drying out and it will not get "gummy" when wet

• An O Ring is a circular piece of hardware made out of solid brass that is placed in the handle of a leash
• This is common for off lead training where you can attach the snap end of the lead to the handle (Around waist, shoulders, etc.)

Does the leather leash stretch?
Natural leather has a certain level of give to it and will stretch over time as the material sets. You may find that your leather leash is intentionally shorter than expected as it is designed to set at the intended length after being broken in with time.
